A New State for a New World

Honours

Like many nations, the Empire maintains a system of honours, albeit in a rather idiosyncratic manner. Most nations maintain chivalric orders, with varying degrees to be awarded. In monarchical nations such as Britain, there is another level, that of the landed peers, Earls, Lords, Barons and so on. Within the Empire, all titles are within one of the three orders.

Other honours can be awarded too outside the orders; those of merit and excellence which are awarded by the Imperial Government to deserving citizens.

Any citizen can nominate any other for an honour by presenting a petition to the Imperial Government.

Order of Precedence

The Imperial Order of Reyla always comes first in the order of Precedence, being the least awarded of the three. Following members of the IOR come the members of the Order of the Moon, followed by the members of the Order of the Caduceus. The final group are those who have received other Imperial honours.
